A Beautiful Fourth
We went to see my Mom up in Hidden Valley Lake, CA. We went through the gorgeous Napa Valley and over some mountains to grandmother's house we go...

Except she's my Mom. But if we had a kid, then she'd be grandma. Ok where was I?

Oh yes. Here's some pics. We just took it easy at her house.

A simple rose

I'm pissed because the camera's batteries were dead when I started to use it, so then I reverted to my crappy phone camera...and the MILLIONS of flower pictures I took of my Mom's yard, were out of focus and turned out crappy. Those two were the only one's that came out decent.

My mom let me throw mushy watermelon and old cantelope rinds into the garden. I liked watching the watermelon smash against the fence and turn into a bunch of pieces. Compost! My Mom says it's what keeps their lawn going.

We had BBQ chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob and fresh fruit salad for dessert. I also brought home made cookies.

And that was my fourth! No fireworks needed.
